2. The Biomedical Research Ethics Tutorial from the CITI program course
→ The Biomedical Research Ethics Tutorial Certificate
This module is provided by the CITI program and it is an introduction to possible ethical issues that are key to remember when doing research with human participants. From this tutorial I am able to:
- Use ethical principles when conducting research involving human participants.
- Explain the major issues in research ethics and recognize points of consensus and debate.
- Determine which guidelines/regulations are applicable and how to apply them to clinical research.
3. Good Clinical Practice (GCP) from the CITI program course
→ Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certificate
This module is provided by the CITI program. from this module, I was able to learn about the standards for conducting, designing, monitoring, and reporting clinical research. I learned that abiding by GCP standards ensures that participants are properly protected and that results from a study are credible and valid. I was able to:
- Obtain a fundamental understanding of ICH and its role, plus its impact on conducting clinical human research.
- Learn about the Canadian and US FDA regulations.
